Red Beach - Playa Caracas

Red Beach is the first beach you encounter when you head east onto the old Navy land through Garcia Gate. This makes it the easiest and most convenient to reach of the amazing southeastern beaches on Vieques. It is set back into a cove with rocky outcroppings on both points, which adds to the incredible beauty of this beach and keeps the waters fairly calm. The sand is fine and white. There are also grills and tables for picnicking, and the snorkeling is suprisingly good too.
